What is OneTap and how does it connect to this tool?

OneTap is a digital attendance platform. When you're ready, students scan a card on arrival and attendance fills itself. OneTap has a forever free plan with up to 100 student profiles.

How does drag-and-drop work in the seating chart?

Drag any student to any seat. If the destination is occupied the two students swap automatically. Shuffle randomises all seats. A–Z sorts alphabetically. Auto-place moves IEP and vision students to the front row.

What are the student QR cards actually for?

Each student gets a card carrying their own QR code and roster ID. Print the sheet, cut the cards, and hand one to each student. In OneTap, students hold their card up to your phone and their name appears on screen instantly. No app download required for students.

Are the QR codes real and scannable?

Yes. Each card carries a standards-compliant QR code that any phone camera or QR reader will decode, and it encodes that student's roster ID (OT-001, OT-002, and so on). Scanning one on its own just shows you that ID — the codes become attendance check-ins once you create a free OneTap account and import your class list, which links each ID to a student profile.

Can I use this without ever signing up for OneTap?
