Can I cancel anytime? Am I locked into a contract?

Our plans are annual subscriptions. We don't believe in contracts, so you can cancel at any time from your dashboard.

What is the refund policy? What happens if the product does not work?

Non product defect: we can refund subscription purchases up to 10 days after purchase for any reason. Product defect: if you experienced a critical bug that impacted your check-ins, email us at support@onetapcheckin.com and we will happily refund your subscription up to 30 days from purchase.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept any credit or debit card with Mastercard, Visa, Discover Network, and American Express. We can also send you an email invoice for ACH, check, or wire transfer.

If I upgrade mid-cycle, what will be the charges?

When you upgrade mid-cycle, you'll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing period. The upgrade takes effect immediately, and you get instant access to all new features.

Do you provide monthly plans?

We only offer annual plans at this time. Annual plans provide the best value and help us maintain affordable pricing while investing in product improvements.

Profiles are unique records of visitors, like contacts in an address book. Profiles can be used to represent Students, Members, Employees, Guests, Customers, or any person who visits.

Do you offer any discounts?

Enterprise and high-volume customers can contact us for custom pricing on the Custom plan, which starts at $200 per month billed yearly.

How does the profile quota work? Can I reuse profile slots?

Your plan's profile limit counts your current active profiles, not the total ever created. So if you have a 200-profile plan and currently have 100 profiles, you have 100 slots available. If you delete 50 profiles, your available count goes back up to 150 immediately. You can freely delete and recreate profiles within your limit.

Is my data secure with OneTap?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS 1.2+1.3 and at rest using AES-256 encryption. We also use Cloudflare's WAF and DDoS protection to keep your data safe at every layer.

Is pricing per check-in, and do attendees need an app or account?

No. You pay per active profile (one unique person), not per check-in. You can check everyone in as often as your program meets at no extra cost. Attendees never need an app or an account because they check in instantly using a QR code, a link, or a kiosk.

Is OneTap free for training sessions?

Yes, it is free for up to 20 attendees. The Free plan is free forever and requires no credit card, allowing you to run small trainings or test OneTap with a real group at no cost. For larger or recurring programs, paid plans start at $599 per year. Every plan includes the exportable attendance reports you need for CE credit, compliance, and audits.

Can we pay by invoice or purchase order (PO)?

Yes. We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover). We can also issue invoices for ACH, check, or wire transfers and accept POs, which is standard for schools, agencies, and nonprofits. Just email sales@onetapcheckin.com to get set up.

Is my attendance data secure, and will it hold up for an audit?

Yes. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest (AES-256). You own your data entirely because we never sell or share it, and only your authorized team can access it. Every check-in becomes a filterable record you can easily export to Excel or PDF with total hours, location, and signature data, making them perfect for strict audits, accreditation, and grant reporting.

Can I upgrade anytime, and how does the profile limit work?

Yes, you can upgrade whenever you need more capacity. You are only charged the prorated difference for the rest of your term, and you get instant access to your new limits. Your quota only counts active profiles. Slots free up the exact moment you delete someone, making it easy to manage your capacity within your current plan.

Who owns my data? Will you sell my data?

You own your data. As a paid software product, we do not sell, share, or monetize your data in any way. Only your team and authorized OneTap systems can access it, and you can request full deletion at any time by emailing hello@onetapcheckin.com.

What's next after I purchase?

Once you upgrade, head to your dashboard and: (1) Create a list for your event or location, (2) Add profiles manually, via Excel import, or via a registration form, (3) Download the OneTap iOS app on your iPhone or iPad, (4) Start checking people in. The whole setup takes under 10 minutes.
